BBQ Coffee Rub Recipe
1/4 cup of coffee ground course (we recommend Conquistador)
1/4 cup of brown sugar
2 tablespoons of salt
2 tablespoons of chili powder
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of ground black pepper
1 tablespoon of onion powder
1 tablespoon of paprika
1/2 tablespoon cayenne
Mix the ingredients thoroughly in a bowl, whisking them until they form a perfect blend.
Rub the mixture on the steak using your hands(1 tablespoon per pound of steak).
Let the steak rest for a few minutes. This helps the muscle absorb all the delicious flavors. For maximum flavor effect let it rest for up to an hour.
Preheat the grill to around 500 to 600 degrees Fahrenheit.
Sear over high heat on each side for 1 minute with lid closed.
Reduce heat to low. Close lid and cook according to the times and temperatures below.
Steaks will continue to rise in temperature 5 to 10 degrees while at rest after grilling.
