This is a slightly rare coffee that many people are not aware of. It also goes by the name “Sulawesi Kalosi”. There is a light and dark roast. I prefer the dark. The dark roast had a super pleasing aroma when we first opened the bag. I tried a very small amount of milk with the brew, but it is so smooth it really doesn’t need any. The flavor was slightly earthy with a soft warm hint of chocolate. I gave some to my oldest son and he proclaimed ‘Oh WOW. that’s really good!” There are other places that carry this , but I truely believe none can match the roast that Master Roasters Heny and Hrag KALEBJIAN produce! Final result, this is a DEFINITE BUY selection! Get some and give your review.

Celebes Kalossi has been my FAVORITE coffee since Henry introduced it to me more than 40 years ago. I like both the medium and dark roast (I’ve been buying the dark roast since House of Coffee started carrying this ca. 2012). It is incredibly smooth with a wonderful aroma when it comes out of the coffee maker. When I offer it to guests, they have always said that they’ve never had a coffee that was as good as this — without any need for cream or sugar. I’m SO glad to know that Hrag is continuing the tradition. Bravo!

Celebes Kalosi (Dark) is robust and flavorful. It has a nice hint of spices and is smooth.
It’s very good fresh ground and I would suggest buying this whole bean and grinding it as needed. I’ve had this in coffee shops before and it was ok, but I think Henry’s masterful roasting skill increases the richness of flavor in this excellent coffee. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!
