Traditional Yemen Mocha comes from the central mountains of Yemen but gets its name from the ancient shipping port of Mocha, which has since been replaced by a more modern port.

Do not confuse Yemen Mocha with a traditional chocolate drink. These beans are dry processed, which means they are dried with the fruit still attached to the beans. This gives them a highly acidic note. We roast these a bit darker to tame the acidity and bring out the malty/chocolaty flavor profile.
