This popular British tea is typically a black tea base flavored with oil from the rind of bergamot orange. A timeless classic that is smooth yet has a zesty floral-citrus flavor. Bergamot is a citrus fruit that gives Earl Grey its distinctive scent and orangey flavor. Grown primarily in Italy, bergamots are used for the essential oil that can be pressed from the rind of the fruit, and used in perfumery, baking, and tea-scenting.

I’ve been buying coffee from Henry’s for quite a while and figured I’d buy the tea for my wife. I don’t think she drinks her tea particularly strong but she followed the instructions and ended up with what she considered a weak cup of tea. She prepared a second mug and increased the amount of tea she used. The result was a better tea but the bergamot added an overpowering perfumey flavor.

Strong bergamot- just how I like it! Just ordered some, and I’ll review it later.
