Coffee body scrub is not only a great way to stay clean, but it's actually great for your skin. If you're a fan of coffee, you're going to love how to make your own coffee scrub soap. The coffee grounds exfoliate away dead skin, while the oils leave skin feeling smooth.
Coffee Body Scrub
Ingredients
6oz of water
1 teaspoon of French Roast
2 oz of lye
5oz coconut oil
5oz olive oil
6oz vegetable oil
Instructions
Combine the French Roast and water into a bowl and mix until fully dissolved.
Mix the lye into the coffee mixture until all of the crystals have fully immersed into the solution.
Set aside and allow to cool to room temperature.
Combine the coconut oil, olive oil, and vegetable oil and heat the entire mixture to 120 degrees.
Use a hand blender and whisk for 4-5 minutes.
Pour the mixture into a mold and cover with foil.
Store the mold in an air-cooled place like your countertops and let it set up and harden. This should take a couple of days.
Remove the soap from the mold and cut it up into smaller pieces and let it cure for a couple of weeks. This ensures the soap will remain hard and won't crumble.
Pro Tip
Use a digital scale for measuring the oils and coffee. This will ensure your soap comes out perfect. You can purchase a digital scale for around $20 at your local store.
