Darjeeling is a district in West Bengal, India, at the foot of the Himalayas. The 87 tea estates in Darjeeling cover a range of elevations and microclimates, making each estate’s tea unique. The mountainous elevations result in slow-growing teas with concentrated, crisp flavors and distinct harvest seasons, from the “first flush” of the spring to the autumnal and winter harvest later in the year. Darjeelings are well-known for their clean, lively, brisk mouthfeel and golden color. Darjeeling is also a registered Geographical Indication: to be called ‘darjeeling’ a tea must be grown and processed at one of the 87 registered tea gardens. 4oz Bag
