We roast our Ethiopian beans slightly darker to tame the acidity and floral characteristics that might be found in African coffees. This produces a full-body cup with heavier notes of chocolate and nuts.

Legend has it that coffee was first discovered in Ethiopia after a goat herder named Kaldi noticed that his goats did not sleep at nights and became wildly active after eating coffee berries.

    Luscious. Smooth and rich. Glad I tried it even though I can’t use oily beans in my coffee maker. I’d have a hard time choosing between this and my favorite, Medium Roast Henry’s Blend; which works perfectly for us. These coffees are what coffee should taste like.
