Nearly all coffee beans we receive come in 60-kilo burlap bags, but the Jamaican Blue Mountain gets shipped in wood barrels. They are the only beans that are shipped and stored in this manner.
Jamaican Blue Mountain
$75.00
Exotic • Delicate • Silky
What makes Jamaican Blue Mountain so special is that the yield of the coffee cherry is very low, so there is a very limited supply. We are able to purchase several hundred pounds a year, so treat yourself to this very rare cup of coffee.

Is it my palate which is lacking or is this coffee highly overrated? I can not explain the premium placed on this bean.

I’m thinking that it could be one of a few things that make this a “nothing special” experience for you. Possibly, your tastes could run to a darker toast. Or, maybe the folks that love this JBM have tasted a wider variety or beans and roasts. It’s also possible that some people just lack the ability to differentiate. I do t mean that tone offensive. I think of it in the perfume paradigm. The Guerlain family tr s to have incredibly refined ability to differentiate between scents, even when blended. Anatomically speaking, they must surely have a larger cribriform plate (in the brain), and better tissue in their sinuses. Whatever the reason, in the end, I’m for people drinking whatever they enjoy! To me, great coffee is bliss, but I commit the sacrilege of drinking if mixed with chicory (bitter, thick, cuts the caffeine content by 50%, tonic for the colon). Many say that ruins it, but growing up in New Orleans conditioned me to it. I say drink what you love and find to be a good value, and who cares what others say? It’s YOUR ritual!!! Best Wishes!

Started on Blue Mountain in 74′, and only occasionally now due to cost, as the asian market where most of it winds up, will pay whatever the demand to get what it wants now. The purchase was for a dear friend but I pinched a brew and it flipped the switch right back to 74′, working on Saabs in the garage and downing small cups of Blue Mountain with a few drops of honey. Still peerless. Bangin’ man.

An absolutely wonderful medium blend coffee. I have purchased Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee with every visit to the island. Henry’s was exactly what I was hoping for when I ordered it.

This coffee is just fine. It tastes like a nice, smooth ‘breakfast blend’. I’m not sure it’s worth the price tag though. You can easily get a similar taste for much less. It’s worth trying once though.
